Radiofear has created a virtual space where he is the captain of an alien spacecraft, loaded with numerous data, sailing through a city landscape. In [Dataspace], the four songs in the EP are musical representations of the time taking place in this virtual space. The album begins with the first track ‘Ice’ alluding to the spacecraft flying through an ice filled landscape, followed by a new atmosphere ‘Vortex’, and ending with the spacecraft disappearing ‘Levitation’. Although it may be a virtual space, the sounds created in ‘Ice’ and ‘Vortex’ are close to its essence. The use of spatial effectors or individual source modulation may be sufficient, however, the unique electronic characteristics of the original synthesizer were utilized rather than excessive processing based on approaches such as ropey, analog warmth, or warehouse sound.

Thus, the sounds are processed simply and directly by using a synthesizer filter to allude to ice and coldness, firm leads and arpeggio to convey a modern era, and a balance of calmness rather than exaggeration to portray lowlands. Rather than approaching electronic music era of ‘loudness war’, Radiofear’s music evolves and changes according to the flow and evolution of electronic music.
