Waking Suns’ debut full-length album, 《Casual Talk》, traces fleeting emotions, passing words, and the quiet undercurrents of feelings left unresolved.
Urgency and hesitation, silence and collision, fragile breaths and the instinct to hold onto one another unfold loosely across ten tracks, forming a singlecontinuous flow.
Elements of downtempo, ambient, synth-pop, and reggae intersect naturally throughout the album. Rather than foregrounding the conventions of any particular genre, Waking Suns slowly builds emotional resonance through repeated phrases, minimal melodies, and layered sound textures.
《Casual Talk》 does not seek grand narratives or definitive conclusions.
Instead, it lingers among subtle expressions, moments of silence, and
incomplete language that are easily overlooked, capturing the delicate shifts and tensions within relationships. The album feels closest to a private conversation unique to Waking Suns — a space where the distinct sensibilities of Mogwaa and Xin Seha converge.
《Casual Talk》
